Partnering with our schools and universities.
For years president of Dranoff Properties, Carl Dranoff, has participated in case studies at Wharton and served on the boards of the University of the Arts and Drexel's Academic Properties Inc. He furthers his dedication to the educational community by partnering his company with area schools and universities to achieve mutual goals. In 2000, we partnered with the University of Pennsylvania to complete The Left Bank — the single largest residential historic rehabilitation project in Pennsylvania history.
We maintain a strong leadership position with ACE Mentor Program, a national organization whose mission is to expose high school students to career opportunities in the fields of architecture, construction and engineering. In addition to encouraging college education, the organization leads many students into these fields through scholarship funding.
Most recently, we initiated Dranoff Goes Green, an innovative green design challenge for undergraduate interior design students at Drexel University. The students embarked on a term-long, for-credit, graded challenge to design the ultimate green living space for the hospitality suite at our LEED-registered 777 South Broad. The winning design will be assembled and installed in time for our grand opening of 777 South Broad in April 2010.
