Supporting arts and culture to promote economic prosperity.

Dranoff Properties believes in the power of mobilizing arts and culture as a springboard for urban economic growth. Our most notable community outreach efforts is our partnership with the Philadelphia Theatre Company which resulted in the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, a 365-seat Broadway quality theatre on the Avenue of the Arts located in the footprint of Symphony House.

By sharing infrastructure, we were able to deliver the theatre company’s vision of building a world-class venue. We worked hard to achieve substantial cost savings for the organization by acting as general contractor, obtaining financial grants and dedicating our own accounting, marketing and project management staff to the project.

Recognized by the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia, Dranoff and the Philadelphia Theatre Company were awarded a Business/Arts Partnership Award for our collaboration on the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. The success of our partnership led us to initiate a partnership with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, based in Newark, NJ to develop Two Center Street. Together with the NJPAC, we believe that Newark will be the next major urban success story as we leverage the city’s rich arts and culture to help it re-emerge as a world-class cultural, residential and business destination.
