Redefining Newark’s Skyline
A partnership between the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) and Dranoff Properties,Two Center Street is NJPAC’s first major expansion since its opening in 1997. Located adjacent to the Arts Center, the slender, 44-story brick and glass tower will be the first newly constructed building in downtown Newark in over four decades.  The mixed-use building will redefine Newark’s skyline and streetscape with 20,000 sq. ft. of high-quality retail, including restaurants, cafes and shops, and more than 300 rental apartment units, 20 percent of which will be set aside as affordable.  The project enjoys what is largely considered to be the single best corner location in Newark because of its proximity to Military Park, NJPAC and a new light-rail station. Two Center Street will immediately become a Newark landmark and a strong symbol of the City’s transformation into a world-class residential, shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
